|
Praise God for the marvellous opportunities we have to share the light of the Gospel in virtuatually every part of the world. What a privilege. What a stewardship responsibility.
Pray for the Christian workers who extend the influence of BFC materials by using them in the slum areas of Brazil’s cities; in the rainforest villages; in the brave corners of China and India and many other countries that are hostile to the spreading of God’s Word.
Pray for Shahbaz who serves the Lord in Pakistan in a difficult setting and with few materials available.
Praise God for the new opportunities offered by more and more kinds of devices that can be platforms for BFC stories.
Pray for Greg as he does his best to maximize the impact BFC can have in our world. He needs God’s wise guidance and physical strength to lead the work and also keep up with all the technological advances.

| A New Record in 2012 |
|
Over 5 million Bible stories were viewed and/or downloaded last year. Another 1 million English stories were downloaded via the first version of our BFC App.
What a blessing to see the expanding interest in the Bible stories around the world. Not only has the outreach increased to over six million, the number of languages in which the stories are available has reached 65. Another ten just about ready to be added - and many more are planned or actually in process, especially Asian languages.
Pray with us, asking the Lord to lead more people to find the BFC website. The third world is flocking to smart cell phones, and we want them to ‘come upon’ the Bible stories in their language.

| The Rise of Mobile Devices |
|
While we are still working on a new version of BFC App for all the mobile devices, users are nevertheless finding our website directly now.
According to the most recent weekly reports on our website, ten percent of our visitors are using the iPad or iPhone devices. The other mobile devices are not reported separately, but we would guess the total number of mobile devices may be twenty percent. We are thankful, but we also know this will increase dramatically when we finally release the next version of the BFC App.

We believe the answer is, YES. We currently have 6 different file formats for the Bible stories: Computer stories; cell phone stories; colouring book (one page or six page); tracts (colour or B&W) - all of which are downloaded by tens of thousands in many languages.

Heart to Heart |

What does God have planned for this year? We don’t know, but we trust Him. He has been faithful in 2012, and by faith we look ahead to 2013.
This year I am able to commit more time to Bible for Children, and the first order of business was to search back over the emails that have escaped my attention. Carol handles most of the emails, but some are forwarded to me for special attention. I found emails from up to six months ago, and had to apologize along with my belated answer. One day I might be able to give full time, but until then, I appreciate your prayers for me for extra grace and strength from the Lord.
The knowledge that we are co-workers together in reaching millions of children across the world sustains us in ministry - and our hope and expectation that the Lord Jesus may return at any time adds urgency to the task. God has given BFC the opportunity to reach beyond hostile borders with these simple Bible stories that convey His Word and feed hungry souls.
