Celebrating 20 Years

of God’s Faithfulness

In the year 2003, God called together a small band of people with a desire to tell children around the world about Jesus. It began with Bible stories in one language, then 4 languages, then 10. Could they possibly reach the far-away goal of 100 languages? Yes! It took 11 exciting years to reach that goal. In the next 9 years, we watched in amazement as God increased the languages to more than 450! Now the children in every people group with one million or more people can hear about Jesus in their own heart language. What is next??

‍I have a passion and a dream for distributing free Bibles and Christian literature to children in Sunday schools in order to build passion for reading the word of God in children. I would like permission to print part of the illustrated stories on your site, particularly the parables of Jesus for distribution in local churches in my vicinity. ‍I am Rector in one of the most deprived rural areas of England. I cover three Parishes which has just one school, and accommodates 4-11 year olds. We have a super school, and much has been achieved in this school which was in “Special measures” 7 years ago and is now graded as “good”. Please can you tell me if you continue to give Bibles to school children in school upon entry and leaving free of charge? - Mandy

‍I would like to receive in paper version 80 illustrated Bible stories in French for a summer camp located in Trois-Rivières for children aged 4 to 12 years old. ‍Bloom Library

We have been pleased to work with SIL over this past year to add our English and Spanish Bible stories to the Bloom library. This computer library is offered to schools in remote locations that do not have Internet access. The next step is to add all 450 languages to Bloom, which will be a huge investment of time. An added advantage of the Bloom library is that it is designed to allow others to use the stories in the library and translate them into other (mainly tribal) languages. So our Bible stories will reach even more children! Praise the Lord!

450 Apps on Google PlayStore

One of the ministries at the recent Bible conference in Asia offered to make BFC Apps for free. This was an amazing offer, and we have now been working with them to create Apps in all our 450 languages. They are excited about this, and so are we! Here is why. There are 3 ways people search for what they want:

Some people search for things on the Internet with Google. Those people find our Bible stories in all 450 languages on our website.
Some people search for ebooks on the online book stores. Those people find our ebooks in all 450 languages.
But other people search for Apps, and those people will now find our 450 languages in this way.

Praise the Lord for opening this huge door for Android phones! And please pray that we can find a way to convert these Apps for use on Apple phones.

Online Bible Links

For every language on our website, we try to provide a link to an online Bible in that language. We want people to read the truth directly from God’s Word. After months of work, we have located online Bibles for more than half of our languages. Of course, there are many languages where only the New Testament has been translated, so there are no links for the Old Testament stories.

Please pray that we will be able to discover links for all the languages.

So many of our dear supporters are facing trials and tribulations, mostly due to health issues. My wife and I pray each week for these precious brothers and sisters, who have blessed and encouraged us for many years – a few for the whole 20 years of our existence! And a few have recently been called to the next life. It is hard for their families (and for us), yet God says each passage is “precious in His sight” as He welcomes them Home.

My wife’s aunt in Holland turned 100 last week, and Mary-Anne was there to celebrate. We pray that her aunt will truly know the Savior, as time is surely short for her now. This is our prayer for all in our families who have not yet met Jesus.

I will be preaching at my brother’s church in September, Lord willing. I have been praying for his salvation for 45 years. Maybe now is the time! Thank you for your prayers.

YouVersion

We have now completed the addition of devotion plans in 77 languages to the YouVersion App. Over 360,000 Bible stories have now been read through people subscribing to our devotion plans. But you will not find them in English, because YouVersion has their own children’s App. Please pray that YouVersion will be able to add many more languages for their devotion plans. We are waiting :)
