Audio Recording
Our Stories, Your Voice

There are many doors open to Bible for Children, and we are walking through them as the Lord enables.  However, with the completion of our 1,000 Language project, we have decided to focus upon audio Bible stories.  We have audio Bible stories in 100 languages, but we want to expand this now to around 400 languages.

Volunteers are needed to voice your language for our main 7 Bible stories.  Bible for Children will provide instructions, and you can use your phone and a small quiet room to make the recordings.  Please let us know your heart language by emailing randy@bibleforchildren.org, and we will let you know if we have a need for that language.  Thank you!

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Cambodia

Praising God that I found this Bible Stories, it helps a lot to our ministry here in Cambodia. I also shared it to my co-labourers in God’s vineyard, Pastor’s wives and Sunday School teachers. Before I requested to have more of these translated in Cambodian language.

Tanzania

I am interested in partnering with Bible for Children to help expand children’s Bible story translation, distribution, and outreach programs in Tanzania.  How I can assist in translating, distributing, and sharing Bible stories with children in Swahili and local languages.  I believe many children in Tanzania can benefit from Bible stories and Scripture resources presented in languages they understand clearly.

I planted a church last year. This church plant is growing with children and I am thankful for that because it gives hope. I appeal we partner in bringing them up. Your Bibles and other materials will be of great encouragement to us. I pray the LORD will lay this burden on your heart and also provide to the praise and glory of His name.

Bible Conferences

Bible for Children representatives recently exhibited BFC at two important Bible conferences in Asia.  The response to our Bible stories in 1,400 languages was amazing!  One indication of the response is that we gave out over 200 business cards and hundreds of our Bible story booklets.

The first conference focused upon outreach to Muslim countries.  We were surprised to discover that there are many Muslims turning to Jesus in these countries.  We heard personal testimonies from these people groups, and then we rejoiced together in praise to our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.  It was truly a taste of Heaven!  The Muslim Background Believers (MBB) will be using our Bible stories for teaching their children.  We are also working with some of them to develop other resources.

The second conference brought together 800 people from 260 Bible ministries to collaborate on reaching the world for Jesus.  Greg challenged attendees to "Don't Forget the Children" at one breakout session.  But a main emphasis of the conference was using AI in Bible ministries.  A New Testament in a new language can now be completed in 2 years instead of 20 years.  One ministry is targeting 40 new languages in the next 2 years, and other ministries are also accelerating translation efforts.  Underground churches who have, for example, one pastor for 6,000 people, are carefully planning to use AI to help teach more of their people.  A few more ministries have requested to have all of Bible for Children materials to use in their ministries.  And BFC will be working with some ministries to create new resources.

We had an extra blessing at the second conference as our colleague from India, Sushant Sahu, joined with us.  Sushant has been helping us for many years to find translators for our Bible stories, make audio Bible stories, and oversee a team to help with our 1,000 Language project.  It was so good to meet face-to-face, and to discuss the future plans together.

The follow-up needed from these two conferences is a bit overwhelming.  Please pray for wisdom for all involved.  Thank you!

Partner Highlight

featuring one of our partner ministries

For many years Bible for Children has provided our audio Bible stories in many languages to Galcom.  We have exhibited BFC at many of the same Missions events as Galcom, and we ran into them again at the recent Bible conferences in Asia.  Galcom provides radio transmitters and hand-held radios to extend the Gospel to unreached areas.

The Galcom vision is to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ shared with every tribe, tongue, and nation.  Galcom exists to give help and tools to the missionaries that have answered the call of Christ to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15. By using radios, missionaries are able to multiply their impact and reach more people and a larger area with the Gospel every day.

The Galcom mission is to multiply missionary impact through audio technology.  The Galcom strategy is to provide durable technical equipment for communicating the Gospel worldwide.

Galcom also works closely with MegaVoice, another BFC partner.  Navigate to www.galcom.org to learn more of this ground-breaking ministry.

1000 Languages

We have just passed our goal of adding Bible stories in 1,000 new languages.  We are very thankful for our teams in India and here in Canada who have worked faithfully for three years to accomplish this amazing undertaking.  But to our surprise, we discovered at two recent Bible conferences in Asia that the work of Bible translation into more languages is continuing, and even accelerating!  We may need to set a new target.  Please pray for wisdom.

Bantoanon is spoken by 75,000 people in the Philippines.

I was standing at our booth at the Bible conference in Asia.  I looked up to see a man standing there, and then I saw his name tag.  David Love.  No way!  It couldn't be!  But it was!  About 18 years ago I received a phone call from David Love at Rio Grande Bible Institute.  He told me that the people in Colombia loved our Bible story tracts, and that he would like a ton of them.  I thanked him for his encouragement and asked how many he would like.  "A ton!"  Well, we shipped a ton of tracts from Canada to Miami, and they flew them to Columbia.  They sent us pictures of pastors coming for boxes of tracts, and of tracts going up the Amazon River.  That ton was 300,000 tracts, with another 100,000 sent two years later.

I never thought I would meet David, and there he was standing in front of me.  We had a great time rejoicing in what God had done.  Praise the Lord for arranging this meeting!

The only sad part is that the tract ministry in Canada, through which millions of Bible story tracts in many languages were mailed around the world, closed their doors a few years later, and our tract ministry ended.
