My wife and I were recently in Thailand for a Bible conference. We enjoyed the people, the scenery and the temperature over 30 C every day. Now we are back in Canada, enjoying the people, the scenery and the surprise temperature . . . 36 C! (or 97 F). Are we dreaming??
No. Reality hits. Our dear 8-year-old granddaughter still has brain cancer. Chemotherapy still continues. Our prayers are still needed. Yet my son and his wife tell us that many children they see at the hospital are facing even more serious health problems. And their hearts go out to those families.
And now I am thinking of children in many parts of the world who may be facing those serious health problems, and maybe even death. Have they heard about Jesus? I read about a boy in a hospital who was dying. Another child in the hospital told him about Jesus. The dying boy said he wanted Jesus, but asked how he could be sure Jesus would come for him? "Just hold up your arm tonight and He will see you." In the morning, the dead boy was found with his arm propped up in the air. - Greg
