Bible for Children has created an App that allows anyone to download our Bible stories to their own tablet or smart phone. All Bible stories in any language can now be downloaded and stored on your own Android or iOS device. There is a small fee of $1.99 US for the App to help recover our costs, but all Bible stories are free.

Please tell others about the BFC App, so they can also enjoy the Bible stories. The App can be found on Google Play, Apple App Store and Amazon.

2017 - First Quarter Report

While we are working on more ways to distribute the stories, our current website is still the priority. Actually, each language is really its own website, so there are 132
websites. We are working on more languages and more stories in many existing languages. We also had to prepare hundreds of story files to work with our new BFC App. We still need a couple of months of work just to finish preparing all those files.
Meanwhile, over one million Bible stories have been read. Here are the “Top 40”

The Next Frontier

Around the world, people read eBooks on Amazon Kindle, Apple, Kobo and Google reading devices. Amazon has the majority of the market, selling about one million Books daily. Bible for Children needs to be wherever people are reading, so we have been researching the eBook universe.

Our first set of English Bible Stories is now available on Amazon. We have packaged our six main evangelistic stories into one eBook. Our plan to offer this set of Bible stories in 130 languages and offer them on Apple, Google and Kobo. We must prepare the stories in a different way for each eBook store, so there is much work required. Please pray for people to discover the Bible stories and that God will use the stories in a mighty way.

In my country there is a problem with the post because it is non-existent that is why we use D. H. or Internet to download different documents. We speak French. Ilunga

Kentucky / Moldava: Thank you for replying my email. My wife and I frequently go to Moldova during the summer to have children's camp. It is hard to find stories and material in Romanian language. The tracts can be used. We will be conducting two camps in two different cities and we're expecting around 100 children in each camp. 200 tracts would be a good number. Gilmar

Heart to Heart

Friends ask me how I enjoy being retired from Union Gospel Mission. Well, as full-time director of Bible For Children, I spent the first two weeks visiting 160 evangelical churches in Winnipeg, asking them to help us find more volunteers. We need them mainly to translate the Bible stories into more languages, but also to help us with the computer work that is needed.

Now I am following up with potential volunteers, while at the same time exploring other ways to get our Bible stories to children around the world.

My wife, MaryAnne, enjoyed the first two weeks, where I was out at the churches.
Now she is adjusting to my constant presence at home while I work on my computer and talk on my phone. I am interrupting her routine she has had for the past 40 years. Direct quote, “He invaded my space.”

Please pray for us.

Maybe the best way to summarize the changes is to say I really enjoyed my previous ministry, but now I am living my dream - to tell the two billion children around the world about Jesus.

I have more time to plan; more time to pray; and more time to promote this great need that must be responded to now - for “now is the day of salvation”.

I am sure many of you know of the all-out attack on our children, perhaps even from personal experience. Let us stand together, for the Lord and for the children.

Prayer & Praise

Thank you for praying through each segment of this issue of PrayerLink. Please remember the need of translators and other volunteers to come alongside and extend BFC outreach to the children of today’s world.

Pray that the new App now generally available will be a means of blessing to those who download it. May we all realize the time is short and the task is great. Let us pray together and expect God to do great things in these dark days.

And pray for the expansion into other ways of distributing the Bible stories.
