BIBLE FOR CHILDREN

New Languages

As of now, there are 174 languages on the Bible for Children website. We are working on another 17 languages from India, Pakistan, Ghana and some European countries. We have requested 20 more languages from many more countries, which will take us past the 200 mark.

We have already identified the next 200 languages. When we reach 400 languages, all people groups with over one million speakers will have the Bible stories for their children. This is keeping us very busy!

Please pray for all the resources that will be needed to achieve the next 200 languages.

Help!

An interesting problem has arisen because so many new languages are coming quickly. Carol is not able to keep up! So we have taken a huge step of faith and hired someone to help Carol create the Bible story files. Laura lives at a Bible school with her husband, and is working for BFC while her husband attends classes. She can do all the work right in their living quarters. We have a 5 month contract with Laura, and would extend that contract for another 5 months as the Lord provides. Please pray for Laura, who is doing excellent work!

What Is National Child Day?

Canada National Child Day, observed annually on November 20th, celebrates the United Nations' adoption of two documents centered on children's rights

Celebrating National Child Day is about celebrating children as active participants in their own lives and in communities, as active citizens who can and should meaningfully contribute to decision-making.

Bible For Children applauds every effort that is made across the world to alleviate the injustices children suffer through kidnapping, forced training to be child-soldiers, deprivation of basic survival needs and lack of education, to name but a few of many issues. However, BFC is particularly called to support and advance the provision of every child’s inherent right to hear the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to know that God loves each one and will receive all who will receive Him.

Let us make every day a day of prayer that no child will be robbed of the right to hear about Jesus. Let us all labour together to reach the world’s children while we can.

Good News from Ghana

Bible for Children is now providing Bible stories for the children in Ghana who speak Dangme. There are 1 million people who speak this language. This picture from When God Made Everything shows the Dangme text.

Switzerland - Geneva - We a non-commercial cultural and religious association of Romanian people living in Switzerland. Over the years we succeeded to build a Romanian orthodox church in Geneva. When you pray

Praise God for His love for children. Our children and the children of the world.

Pray that God will open the heart of each child reached by Bible for Children.

Heart to Heart

One Sunday last summer I preached at a multi-cultural church in Winnipeg. We were greatly encouraged as afterwards the dear people surrounded us and prayed for us and for Bible for Children. The pastor, who is from Ghana and a former Muslim, promised to contact Christians back in Ghana to find translators for the precious children in his country. We have recently received six languages from his efforts. Praise the Lord!

There are some who really see the vision of the impact of Bible for Children upon the children of the world. And some really care for the children in their country.

In the King James Version of the Bible, Proverbs 29:18 has a challenging word. It reads: “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Oh, that many more would catch the vision! Oh, that all the world’s children would hear about the Lord Jesus Who loves us and gave Himself for us.

To reach each child - all children. This is the vision of Bible For Children. Thank you for seeing and being a vital part of this vision. God bless you! Greg.
