Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

Everybody was ready to leave for the ferry. Everybody except Dorothy.

'Hurry, Dorothy,' Dad called. 'The ferry boat won't wait for us.'

'A minute, Dad,' Dorothy answered. 'I just have to find my bracelet.'

Dorothy took much more than a minute to find her bracelet. In fact, it turned out that she didn't find it at all. The time she used up trying to find it made it very tight for Dad to drive to the ferry on time. A couple of red traffic lights held them up even more.

When they did reach the ferry terminal, it was too late. Horn blowing loudly, the boat was already pulling away from the dock. Fortunately, there was another boat later that day. But the whole family had to wait five hours - because Dorothy wasn't ready and they left too late.

Dorothy is like some people who know God is calling them to give their hearts to Jesus before it is too late, but they put it off - until it is too late. Don't be like that. Come to Jesus today.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You that I can come to You now and You will receive me. I come to you now, before it's too late. Amen.
