Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

The Pioneer Club kids were talking about earthquakes.

'Wish we could help the people,' Tracy sighed.

'You can help,' the leader replied. 'You can pray for the homeless boys and girls.  We can take an offering and send money for food and medicine.'

The next week, Tracy prayed every day - and raised money by doing extra odd jobs at home.

At church club, the leader prayed. 'And thank You we can help others in trouble.'  All the boys and girls felt happy because they could help by praying - and giving.

Prayer: Lord, help me to think of ways I can help others who are in trouble.  Amen.

You are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26

'Everybody in Pioneer Clubs except me has brothers and sisters,' Hendry pouted. 'I'm an only child.'

'I have good news for you,' the Club leader smiled. 'God's Word, the Bible says that God becomes your Heavenly Father when you love Jesus.  That means that every other Christian is your brother or sister.  Hendry, you belong to the biggest family in the world.'

Are you in God's family?  If you are, then like Hendry you are part of the biggest family in the world!

Prayer: Thank You God for being my Heavenly Father.  Help me to love and enjoy my brothers and sisters in Your family.  Amen.

Let no one despise your youth but be an example. 1 Timothy 4:12

I was nine years old when my Dad came to see me play soccer.

After half-time, I had a chance to score.  Getting control of the ball, I rushed up the field.  Everybody was shouting, nobody tackled me.

Just as I prepared to kick the ball into goal, I realized something terrible.  I had run the wrong way.  I would have scored against my own team.   Boy, did I feel dumb.  It's important to run with our team, not against it.

God wants us to help and encourage each other to be good members of His team in the Game of Life.

Prayer: Lord God, be our Coach and help us to be good members of Your team.  Amen.

All will know that you are My disciples if...! John 13:35

One of my favorite TV commercials shows a group of boys and girls singing a great song.  The words are, 'I'd love to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony.'

The young people come from all races around the world.  What do you think would happen if each singer was pushing others aside to get in front of the camera, or singing louder to drown out the sound of the others?  It would ruin the song!  They would be singing about perfect harmony, but living the opposite.

Prayer: Lord, today let my words and my actions please You and help others.  Amen.

We love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19

'Why is Grandma sad?'

Lisa was only a young girl but she knew Grandma was unhappy.  'Is it because she's lonely?'

'Yes,' Lisa's mother replied.

Lisa thought for a long time.  Then she marched up to Grandma's chair.  She put her arms around the old lady's neck, drew her face close and kissed Grandma on the cheek.

'I love you, Grandma.'  Lisa kissed Grandma again.  'God says in the Bible that He loves you, too.  I just thought I would bring you a kiss from God.'

Do you think Grandma was encouraged?  You do?  So do I!

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for loving us so much.  Help me to share Your love with others.  Amen.
