Live in peace with each other. 1 Thessalonians 3:13

'That's my pencil.  Don't touch it!' Mark shouted at his sister.

'Will so,' she shot back.  'You took my pencil.'

Mark and Ramona wrestled over the pencil, their screams getting louder and louder.

'Stop it!' Mother yelled. 'You're behaving like a couple of animals.'

'Don't say that,' Father scolded Mother. 'Don't call them animals.'

The argument raged on, everybody getting more upset.  Instead of living in peace with each other, each one hurt the others with words.

Do you live in peace?  Jesus wants you to and you can if you let Him control your tongue and heart.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart please You.  Amen.

Pray for each other. James 5:12

In far-off Africa, a missionary had a great problem.  Trouble had come and her whole work for Jesus would likely end.

But thousands of miles away, in California, the Lord kept a woman from sleeping and led that woman to pray for the missionary.

Later, when they checked the time, the missionary reported that the answer to her problem came exactly at the time her California friend prayed.

God answers PRAYER!  That's one reason we should obey Him and pray for each other.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I can pray for others.  Help me to do so.  Amen.

I have set you an example. John 13:15

The group of men entered the house, their feet soiled with the mud and dust of the old village street.

Usually a servant offered to wash their feet.  But no servant appeared.

Then the group Leader spoke.  'I will wash your feet.'  Using a towel as an apron, the Leader humbly washed the feet of His followers.

None of them wanted to act like a servant.  But the Leader did.

Do you know who that Leader was?  Jesus!  He washed His disciples' feet to show them they should be willing to humbly serve one another.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to humbly serve others as You did.  Amen.

Carry each other's burdens. Galatians 6:2

'Hi, Jamie.  Need some help?'

Smiling, Brad reached out to take one of the two huge grocery bags Jamie carried.  By the time they reached home, Brad had the whole story.

'My Mom's in hospital.  I have to help Dad run the house.  We don't know when Mom will get home.'

'Tell your Dad I'll work with you on the lawn,' Brad said.  He wanted to help Jamie and his family as they carried a special load of extra work.

Are there people around you whose burdens you can help carry?

Prayer: Dear God, help me to help others for Jesus' sake.  Amen.

To present you before His glorious presence. Jude 24

'Mom and Dad, I want you to meet my wife.'

The young man, away from home for some years, came back - married.

When she was presented, his shy bride held out her hand.  The parents received her joyfully.  They were happy to meet their son's beloved wife.

God's Word tells us that someday Jesus will introduce His people to His Father in Heaven.  In fact, the Bible says He will do so WITH GREAT JOY.  What a wonderful day to look forward to.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for that joyful day that is coming for me because I belong to You.  Amen.
