Matthew 19:14

Jesus said,“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

PRAYER & PRAISE

Praise the Lord for the 100 languages already posted on BFC website. Every day, thousands of children (and adults, too) visit the site to read and download the Bible stories. Lord, open the hearts of many to receive Jesus and enter new life.

Pray for BFC workers, that the Board, staff and volunteers will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as they work together to forward the ministry for the sake of souls. Today’s world reels from the shock of bad news following bad news almost daily — pray that all who love the Lord will redeem the time that remains.

Praise God for the opportunity to tackle the Next Great Priority. God, sanctify our imagination that we may think what it will be like to meet souls in Glory whose paths were turned to You through this ministry. Thank You, Lord.

Pray for all who are named in the Mail From Around the world column—and for the needs and countries they represent.

100 Languages

A spurt of languages from India and Africa has finally taken our Great Translation Project over the top. We rejoice to report that 100 languages are now on our website. We praise our wonderful Lord Jesus, and we thank you for your prayers and support.

What now? Not all languages on our website have all 60 Bible stories translated, so there is much work to complete them. Then there are a few thousand more languages. So, while we celebrate the completion of this first goal, we will not slow down as we go forward.

We will continue to target the 100 largest people groups, of which there are 33 languages left to do (see list below.)

We encourage ourselves in the promises of God. Psalm 119:130 declares “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” How we long to know that every child born into this world will have opportunity to see, hear, and read God’s Word

Next Great Priority Languages, which would you liek to see?

The Next Great Priority

The panel to the right shows the next great priority of languages Bible For Children wants to have translated so the children of these cultures and countries may have access to the Bible stories. We are praying that God will touch the hearts of those who can make it happen.

These languages represent a total population of speakers numbering just over one thousand million. We only have numbers—God, Who knows each star by name, knows each one of the souls in each country and people group. They are part of the ‘world’ for which God gave His only-begotten Son.

Do you know someone who knows one of the listed languages? Or, will you pray for a specific language, that God may lead us to a translator? Or, will you “Adopt” a language where we may locate a Christian brother or sister in an economically distressed area who can help us? We already have paid for a few languages in Africa and Asia - $200 for acceptable translation of the six most vital stories in the 60 story series. (A complete language translation of 60 stories could be done for somewhat more.)

Paying recommended translators, especially in Third World countries, gives us the privilege of helping translators and their families financially while they maintain their dignity by doing what they can do (translate) in service to our glorious Lord.

Wycliffe, Tyndale, Luther, Erasmus —
how much we owe them

As you pray over these 33 high priority languages, please let us know if you wish to be part of this Next Great Priority.

Mail from around the world

France (translated from French): The grace of God be with you. I'm not very good in English. I want the story at the beginning, of "Genesis 1 until Joshua" for the old TESTAMENT." And the New Testament's "the birth of jesus until the rise of jesus to heaven." (including the miracles, the baptism of jesus what he did until his ascent to heaven). I give you the address of my home. Karem Prisca

Germany: Dear brethren, thank you for your nice stories. My son likes specially the green dinosaur of the Noah story. I have a question. Why your web site domain is M1914 org. Does that year have any special meaning for you? As I know it was this year when the first world war started. God bless you. Rudolf [Editor’s note. We explained that we made a simple name that can be used for all languages, and it comes from Matthew 19:14.]

Thailand: (BFC being Used for Missions.)
I would like to use some of the slides from Daniel bible story powerpoint. I would like to know whether will it be possible for me to have the password and do some editing? It will solely be for my mission trip for a children’s camp in Thailand. Since they do not know English, I simply would like to remove the words and use the background pics in the powerpoint, with simple English words. Yvette.

USA: (BFC being used for Bible Clubs.)
I am using your bible stories in my Large Group time in Awana (in Florida). Because of the size of the group, I would like to convert the PowerPoint to a movie so I can use the DVD Player/large screen. Would you be able to send me an unlocked version? Kathleen.

Heart to Heart

This has truly been an amazing year! The growth in the number of languages and in visitors to our website gives me great cause to rejoice. There are more exciting developments that we can share with you in our next PrayerLink. I look to the day when I may be able to pour all my energies into Bible for Children. That is a day that only the Lord knows.

As I look ahead to next year, I believe Christians in North America will be facing many challenges. I am aware of many disturbing developments in our society that I will not share now. I believe we should give our all for Jesus, before the night comes. As we celebrate the coming of the Light of the World, our Lord Jesus Christ, let us also share the light of the glorious Gospel of God’s grace with as many people we can, especially with the world’s children who need to know Jesus. God bless you and your loved ones! Greg.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
