Jesus said,“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

PRAYER & PRAISE

As you prayerfully peruse this issue of Prayer Link, please give glory to our Heavenly Father for the great things He has done; is doing; and will do as we continue to serve Him while the day of opportunity lasts.

Praise God for the Bible stories in many new languages that are in process of being translated and prepared for distribution on the BFC website. All across the world, people are joining hands and hearts with us here to share the wonderful Gospel of God’s grace.

Praise God for the many expressions of interest and encouragement that come to us via email. People are being blessed by God’s Word through BFC stories.

Pray that many more translators will be raised up to extend the ministry so that all children will have opportunity to hear the Gospel and be saved. God bless you as you pray.

PrayerLink is sent monthly to all prayer supporters. Editor: E.D. Hughes.

Here are two news items that are also prayer requests. Though they seem rather small issues, they are very important - the first because of a need for sensitivity to the world population; and the second because we want the Body of Christ as it lives and functions in local churches, to be occupied with reaching the world’s children with the saving Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Converting to Brown Skin

Ninety of our languages have pictures with brown skin. That makes sense, as most of the world’s population falls into this category. There are some languages we completed earlier where we are now converting the story characters to brown skin. These include Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Tagalog and Turkish. All 60 stories have been finished in most of these languages, so it is a big project. Please pray.

Worldwide Church Mailing

We are slowly emailing about 15,000 churches worldwide to let them know about Bible for Children. Our website is appreciated by many, many churches who like the colorful graphics, the accurate Bible stories, and the coloring book files. Our challenge is to let more churches know what is available. Please pray.

Pakistan Advance

Just as a contact in India has been a huge blessing in finding new languages, now we have a contact in OM Pakistan who will do the same. We will complete the Urdu language, and hope to have other languages of Pakistan coming soon. Please pray.

The green background of Pakistan’s national flag represents Islam and the majority Muslims in Pakistan; the white stripe on the flag represents religious minorities. In the centre, the crescent and star symbolizes progress and light respectively. The flag symbolizes Pakistan's commitment to Islam and the rights of religious minorities. ( Wikipedia.org)

Heart to Heart

I’m sure you all have heard of the devastating earthquakes in Nepal. It is hard to imagine the destruction and suffering going on there. How can we help? I happen to have a personal friend who has been a missionary to Pakistan most of his life. He now lives here in Winnipeg, and makes special trips to Pakistan to teach pastors. In the last couple of years, he has been doing this teaching more in Nepal, and so has many connections there.

I told my friend that the way BFC can help in Nepal is to send Christians some funds to translate Bible stories into Nepali languages. This would give immediate practical help to some Christians, and would provide spiritual help to the children (and adults) for years to come. My friend, Erv Gonske, is over there right now. Please pray. Greg
